Katherine’s unique 9-5 style in Kimono & Aqua trousers
Katherine Ferdinand keeps her 9-5 style fun. The 26 year old Digital Strategist is snapped in Angel, Islington, wearing a Kimono from Camden passage, a charity shop blouse, trousers from Aqua, shoes from eBay, Longchamp bag and Paul Frank sunglasses.
Willow’s electric blue Acne jacket & ankle boots at Diverse clothes in Angel.
I first saw Willow Laybourne in Angel where she was selling from her vintage clothes stall. Her hair and look were too vibrant to miss but my camera battery died before I could take her picture. Some time later upon a browse of Diverse clothes on Upper Street in Angel I found her again! Here she wears a skirt & top from her own stall, an electric blue leather coat & suede ankle boots both Acne from Diverse. See Willow’s London Look on Evening Standard.
Willow’s vintage clothes stall is on Tuesday and Wednesday’s in Camden Passage, Angel.
Debbie Jones is just the kind of lady you’d wish for when deciding on some new under garments. Her powder pink hair complements her soft and sugary voice when I encounter her in the Pandora’s box that is Tallulah, a lingerie boutique in Angel, Islington. She juggles time advising customers on their frilly undies with work at a vintage furniture emporium in South London. She’s wearing a vintage floral wrap dress and bangles, Marks & Spencers heels & seamed stockings from Tallulah.
It’s been a while since we’ve posted any street style, not because London wasn’t brimming with style inspiration over the festive period; all those vibrant reds, metallic golds and tartan prints didn’t go amiss. Our main excuse is that a rather talented creative duo are reworking Nicely Turned Out to make it rather special…
I spotted Leanne Elliot way back in September speeding through Angel on her Pashley in a flash of green satin. Frantically peddling after her to ask for a photo, she promptly apologised, ‘Yes I know you can see my bottom’. Relieved to find out my purpose wasn’t to be the tenth fellow road-user to inform her of this, she happily stood for a snap in black opaque back seamed tights, the green dress, shoes from Selfridges, and a Prada bag with vintage fur tail attached. An Art Consultant based in Dalston, she’s also part of art collective Rart.
So the summer teased London with a final fling last week, and our bare legs and floaty dresses were given a surprise outing before we slathered ourselves in Autumnal woollies. It was just in time to glimpse the very elegant and super friendly Nasai Forna in Islington on her way home from a photo shoot. A model from Wood Green, Nasai wears a gladiatorial Alexander McQueen leather dress and shoes from Office.
