Festival Style: Womad 2013

We took a quick break from the fun, sun & big beats to snap some festival style.

Womad Festival brought it’s world music to the Cotswolds last weekend. Founded by pop king and activist Peter Gabriel over 30 years ago, the super friendly event had all the right ingredients; art, cider, ‘global’ food and foot stomping bands such as big hair big drums Japanese band Gocoo. We took a quick break from the fun, sun and dancing to snap some festival style.

Sora Kim and Yee Gil yang in TBA, Comme Des Garcons, Acne and vintage at Lovebox Festival, Shoreditch.

Lovebox 2012 was decadently colourful and camp with a delicious line-up of pop divas including Chaka Khan, Grace Jones, Emeli Sande, Kelis and Lana Del Rey. NYC Downlow’s make-shift warehouse complete with raunchy tranimal podium dancers was the place to go to throw some shapes, so long as you adhered to the strict sticky mustache dress code. Style inspiration was in no shortage, including Yee Gil Yang and his girlfriend Sora Kim, both from Hackney. 21 year old Yee wears a Dior T-Shirt, Acne denim jacket, vintage leather shorts, Comme Des Garçons baseball boots and vintage sunglasses. Sora, 26, wears a To Be Adored blue velvet dress, Karen Walker sunglasses and vintage boots.
